Each suite is one-of-a-kind, starting from the name, all with a different history, and a special selection of art photos, carefully picked among the various exhibitions that Mr. Nikos Kasseris held over these years, as well as an exposition of the various camera’s that have been used over these years by the photographer.

A Travel into the Light

Rhodes has been connected with Apollo since the dawn of history, due to the island’s special bond with the light. This fact has inspired Nikos Kasseris’ exhibition of 1995 “Rhodes, a Travel into the light”.
 
The 30 m2 room, where Nikos Kasseris’ own Leica cameras are showcased, is located on the ground floor of the hotel, has a ceramic floor and features a living area, a king-size bed, a spacious bathroom with shower.
 
The room has a large window with a view to an archaeological site.

Mediterranean Pearls

This suite is named after the “Dodecanese Islands, Pearls of the Mediterranean”, an exhibition presented by Nikos Kasseris in 2005, consisting of seascapes and landscapes of the islands that justify the term “pearls”.
 
The 30 m2 room, where Nikos Kasseris’ Rolleiflex cameras are showcased, is located on the ground floor of the hotel, featuring a living area, a king-size bed, one spacious bathroom with Jacuzzi bathtub and one shower.
 
The room has a window overlooking a traditional cobbled Medieval City street.

Nike of Samothraki

The famous statue of the Goddess of Victory, currently exhibited in the Louvre, is one of the most recognizable works of art of the ancient world. Originally created in Rhodes as a tribute to the gods after a naval victory, it was chosen by Nikos Kasseris as a theme for his exhibition in 1996. Shades of green and brown let the sun victoriously transfer you to the Middle East through the suite’s small Ottoman style windows.
 
The 41 m2 suite , where Nikos Kasseris’ Noblex cameras are showcased, is located on the 1st floor of the hotel and expanding over three levels, separated by stairs. The first level with ceramic floor features a mini bar and a bathroom with Jacuzzi showers. The second level with wooden floor, which is four steps higher, is a living area with two single sofa beds. The third level, with wooden floor, which is eight steps higher is the bedroom with a king size bed.
 
This suite features multiple ottoman style windows. It has a view to the clock tower and the Grand Master’s Palace as well as the hotel’s courtyard.

Terra Incognita

Exploring photographically “unknown terrain”, Mr. Nikos Kasseris visited Thrace in Northern Greece. The result was his exhibition, presented in 1997, which fills the notion of an amazing suite of Eastern galore. A bright suite, blessed with an abundance of light, thanks to its large windows, and a view of the Medieval Town from a high level.
 
The 47 m2 suite, where Nikos Kasseris’ Hasselblad cameras are showcased, is located on the 1st floor of the hotel and expanding over three levels, separated by stairs. The first level, with ceramic floor, features a bathroom and a mini bar. The second level, which is nine steps higher has a wooden floor and features a living area with two single sofa beds and the third level, which is four steps higher, has a wooden floor and features the bedroom with a king size bed, a WC and a bathroom with Jacuzzi showers.
The suite features a huge 4-in-one window which overlooks the hotel’s courtyard, and also offers views of the medieval city.

Nymph of Helios

Rhodes has been known as the bride of the God Helios, the Sun god and son of Apollo, since the ancient years. Inspired by the unique flirt of the Sun with his homeland, Mr. Nikos Kasseris presented the “Nymph of Helios” exhibition in 1997, a professional, yet emotional approach on the island the photographer was born and bred. Featuring vivid colored tiled floors, a Hammam style main bathroom and a decoration that travels you through centuries of Anatolian style.
 
The 54 m2 suite, where Nikos Kasseris’ Canon cameras are showcased,  is located on the 1st floor of the hotel and expanding in three levels, separated by stairs. The first level with ceramic floor, features a living area with two single sofa beds and a WC. The second level, also with ceramic floor, which is five steps higher features a living area, a mini bar, a Hammam-style bath with Jacuzzi showers and a balcony. The third level, which is 6 steps higher is the bedroom with a king sized bed and wooden floor.
 
The suite features a balcony overlooking the hotel’s courtyard and parts of the Medieval City.

Forms of Light

The “Forms of Light” exhibition was presented by Nikos Kasseris in 1984 in various cities across Greece, as well as in several European capitals. Strong images, emphasizing on the impact of light details in photography.
 
The 61 m2 suite, where Nikos Kasseris’ Linhof and Sinar cameras are showcased,  is located on the 1st floor of the hotel and expanding over three floors. On the first floor, which has a ceramic floor, there is a bedroom, a WC and a bath with Jacuzzi showers. On the second floor, which has a wooden floor, there is a comfortable relaxing area featuring a sofa bed and a desk, as well as a mini bar. The third floor, which has a ceramic floor, features a bedroom, a bathroom and an exit to two spacious private terraces with panoramic view, featuring sun-beds, a lounge and an outdoor hot tub.
 
The master suite offers absolutely stunning panoramic views of the harbor, the Medieval City as well as a part of the new city of Rhodes.

Temple of Apollo

Apollo was according to the ancient Greeks the god – protector of the island of Rhodes. Therefore, there is a temple dedicated to the Sun god on the ancient acropolis of Rhodes which has been one of Nikos Kasseris’ favorite sites to photograph over the years.
 
The 52 m2 suite where Nikos Kasseris’ own  cameras are showcased,  is located on the ground floor of the hotel and features a ceramic floor, a spacious living area with two sofa beds, a large bedroom with a king sized bed and a bathroom with jacuzzi showers.

Views of Rhodes

Rhodes is quite a diverse and intriguing island. This was the idea behind Nikos Kasseris’ 2003 book “Rhodes. Four photographers discuss an island” in which the island is documented by four different artists with different points of view and focus of interests.
 
The 32 m2 suite, where Nikos Kasseris’ own cameras are showcased, is located on the ground floor of the hotel and expands over two levels. On the first level which has a ceramic floor there is a living area, with one sofa bed. On the second level, which is two steps higher which has a ceramic floor is a king-size bed and a spacious bathroom with jacuzzi shower.
 
The suite has a private garden which features an outdoor hot tub, a wooden deck and two sun beds.

Panselinos

The full moon is quite the spectacle and therefore a multi photographed theme all over the world through the years. However, the full moon’s image reflected on the Aegean waters is something unique.
 
The 35 m2 suite where Nikos Kasseris’ own cameras are showcased is located on the ground floor of the hotel and expands over two levels. On the first level which has a ceramic floor there is a living area with two sofa beds. On the second level, which is two steps higher and features a part wooden and part ceramic floor, is the bedroom with a king sized bed and a bathroom with Jacuzzi showers. Next to the bed is a porcelain bathtub.
 
The suite has a private garden which features an outdoor hot tub, a wooden deck, two sun beds and a mini lounge.

Places in Suspension

“Places in suspension” is the latest exhibition of Nikos Kasseris, presented in spring 2012. A clever, but yet very emotionally intense, perspective of Rhodes.
 
The 160 m2 villa is located on the 1st floor of the hotel and expanding over two levels, on a separate building with private entrance and a terrace overlooking the Medieval City.
On the first level, which has a part wooden and part ceramic floor, there is a spacious living area featuring a piano, a dining area, a secondary living area with a fire place and a fully equipped kitchen. On the first level there is also a bedroom with a king sized bed and a bathroom.
On the second level, which is ten steps higher, there is a wooden floor and two more bedrooms with king sized beds as well as a bathroom with a Jacuzzi bathtub.
 
The Villa features a large terrace from where you have views of the Grand Master’s Palace and the Medieval City.
